Versa-Hatch’s H-20 Rated Traffic-Bearing Hatch is designed and built for use in traffic bearing off-street and sidewalk applications. The bulb gasket and locking slam latch work together to create a water-tight seal, keeping water in and contaminants out. A sealed, flush mounted threaded plug protects the slam latch keyway from weather and outside intruders.

The lift-assist gas spring reduces worker effort when operating the hatch, and the spring uses water-system-safe food-grade oil. A set of linking arms and pins lock the hatch open at a 90° angle to provide safe ingress and egress. The aluminum posts and orange bands create a visual warning barrier intended to steer pedestrians away from the opening.*

All hardware is fabricated from Type 316 stainless steel for maximum durability.
